- men wore loosly fitting styles
- hose made of wool were introduced
- short tunics were worn with large sleeves called houppelande's
- royal women of France wore sideless surcotes and false hanging sleeves were popular
- jewelry, head coverings and hanging purses were brought into the womans wordrobe
- late 14th century-men wore codpiece's with a pouch in the front similar to a jockstrap
- houppelands became shorter
- 15th century-gowns for women were elaborate with deep v-necks
